Rosenfeld's Lemon-Ginger Immunity-Boosting Tonic

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh ginger (grated with skin)
  • 500 ml water
  • 3 lemons (juiced)

Directions

  1. Roughly grate the fresh ginger, leaving skin on, until you have approximately 1 cup
  2. Place the grated ginger into a sauce pot and add 500 ml of cold water
  3. Cover the pot and bring to a boil over medium-high heat
  4. Once the liquid is boiling, reduce to medium-low heat and boil (covered) for 40 minutes.
  5. Once it has boiled for 40 minutes, remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Once cooled, strain and press liquid from the grated ginger into a medium mixing bowl.
  7. Add the juice from the three lemons.
  8. Place into a sealed container and store in fridge.
  9. Drink a 2 oz shot first thing in the morning to boost your immune system. Can add a dash of cayenne for a kick, if you want to kick-start your metabolism.
